The honest caveat

When Helius is the right call.

Helius is a Solana specialist, and a good one: Solana-native APIs (DAS, enhanced transactions, webhooks, gRPC streaming) that a plain RPC node does not offer, plus a free tier to start on. If your product is built on those APIs, or you want a shared Solana endpoint today, Helius is the right tool. A dedicated Helius node starts at $2,900 a month and, per their own docs, is meant to sit next to a paid shared plan.

PICK HELIUS

Shared capacity, right now.

An endpoint in minutes, a free tier to prototype on, usage that fits comfortably inside a published request budget. Metering is a fair trade for instant access.

PICK ARGUSNODES

The workload is the product.

Bots that burst, indexers that backfill, exchanges that cannot share a hot path, chains nobody else runs. One tenant, one flat price, and the hour it takes us to quote is the last wait you have.

Moving off Helius

Switching is a URL change.

Standard Solana JSON-RPC and WebSocket calls move with a URL change. Helius-specific APIs (DAS, enhanced transactions, webhooks) are theirs and stay behind; an Argusnodes Solana node gives you the validator client itself, with every RPC method and gRPC if you want it, at one flat price from $999.

Step 01 · Tell us the shape

Chain, node type, methods, region.

Send what your app calls today and the traffic it pushes. A firm quote comes back within the hour, one flat monthly figure.

Step 02 · We build it

Bare metal, your configuration.

Your client, sync mode and tuning, in the city you pick. Full or archive, every interface on. You get the endpoint and the dashboard.

Step 03 · Point your app at it

Same JSON-RPC, same methods.

Swap the endpoint URL, keep the code. Run both side by side until you are satisfied, then drop the Helius plan when its cycle ends.

Argusnodes vs Helius: the questions buyers ask.

Is Argusnodes a Helius alternative?

For dedicated capacity, yes. Argusnodes sells only dedicated bare-metal nodes: one tenant, no rate limits, one flat monthly price from $99, quoted within the hour. Helius's dedicated offering, as published on their own site as of August 2026: dedicated solana nodes from $2,900/mo; solana only. If you want a shared endpoint or a free tier, that is a different product and Helius may fit better; see the caveat on this page.

Does Argusnodes have the rate limits Helius publishes?

No. Helius publishes: 10 to 500 requests/sec by plan, plus sendtransaction/sec caps; no rate limits on dedicated nodes. A dedicated Argusnodes node has no per-second, per-month or per-method limit; the hardware you choose is the only ceiling, and you choose the hardware.

How does pricing compare with Helius?

Helius: credits, monthly allotments per plan. Argusnodes: one flat monthly figure per node, from $99 (LIGHT), $199 (STANDARD), $349 (PERFORMANCE) or $999 (Solana class), archive from $799. Nothing is metered, so the invoice does not move with your traffic.

Can I move an existing Helius integration to Argusnodes?

Yes. Tell us the chain, node type and the methods you lean on and we will quote a matching node within the hour.

Where do the Helius figures on this page come from?

Every Helius cell was read from their own public pricing and documentation pages in August 2026; the sources are linked at the bottom of the page. Their terms can change. If you spot an error, tell us and we fix it the same day.
