  • On 27 October 2025 (11:30 PM UTC+8, about one hour of paused block production) X Layer's mainnet was migrated from the Polygon zkEVM/CDK validity rollup to an OP Stack optimistic rollup; OKX confirmed completion on 28 October 2025, and Optimism announced the migration on 9 December 2025. source ↗
  • Post-migration the official node stack is op-node plus the reth execution client (okx/xlayer-reth); xlayer-reth provides legacy RPC routing (--rpc.legacy-url) for history from before the migration, so operators serving full history need a legacy endpoint or archive snapshot. source ↗
  • Before the OP Stack move, X Layer completed the Polygon CDK 'PP upgrade' on 5 August 2025 (announced 13 August 2025 with an OKB burn); that CDK-era node software is superseded. source ↗
