What changed on cheqd recently (reviewed 22 Aug 2026)
- The v3.x upgrade (block 16502390, 2024-12-12) introduced an EIP-1559 feemarket with burned base fee, fee abstraction and IBC packet forwarding, and v3.1.x (v3.1.0 released 2025-01-09) raised the minimum gas price 100x from 50ncheq to 5000ncheq, which must be set in app.toml. source ↗
- The v4.x upgrade (v4.0.0 released 2025-05-23; operators told to run v4.1.1, released 2025-07-15) moved cheqd to Cosmos SDK v0.50 with ABCI++ and IAVL 1.0, and Cosmovisor v1.7.1 auto-download could copy the wrong file, so v1.3.0 or a manual binary copy at upgrade height was advised. source ↗

Can I run a cheqd validator with Argusnodes?
Yes. cheqd has a public validator role, and we operate validators under the same monitoring and support as RPC nodes, quoted per setup. Pick "Validator" in the configurator and describe the stake setup.
Can I migrate my cheqd endpoint from QuickNode, Chainstack or another provider?
Yes. A dedicated cheqd node speaks the same CometBFT RPC and REST and gRPC and gRPC-Web interfaces as the shared endpoint you use today, so migration is pointing your application at your own endpoint. Billing is monthly with no lock-in on our side, and support engineers are on the channels 24/7 during cutover.
Which city should I pick for my cheqd node?

Are there rate limits or connection caps on a dedicated cheqd node?
No artificial ones. The machine is yours alone, so the hardware is the only ceiling: if it can serve the request, you can send it. There is no per-plan connection cap because there is no plan tier.
How do I pay for my cheqd node, and can I cancel?
Visa, Mastercard, bank transfer or crypto, billed monthly. Cancel at the end of any monthly term; the node is provisioned for you alone, so there is no meter to escape and no exit fee.
